Our mission is to preserve New Church audio recordings and make them available to all. We provide audiobooks of works by Emanuel Swedenborg, recordings of New Church sermons, Swedenborgian classes, and more. These offer opportunities for Bible study and spiritual growth, exploring Biblical symbolism and New Church theology.

New Church Audio is a program of The New Church, an international Christian organization.

The New Church is a Christian denomination based on the Bible and the revelation given to Emanuel Swedenborg. We believe that true faith is loving the Lord Jesus Christ by following his teachings and being of service to others.

If you enjoyed listening, please consider making a donation to support this service.

  • Maintenance

Worship Service: Childrens Talk & Adult Sermon - 23 Mar, 2025

Things seem to fall apart and get broken rather easily—from our aging bodies, to the buildings we live in, to the equipment we rely on each day, to our lives in general and the world at large. Just think of your current to-do list of things you need to fix, replace, clean, or sort out. What are we meant to do in the midst of this reality? Give up on fixing anything? The Lord tells us to lay up treasures in heaven, because treasures on earth are susceptible to moth, rust, and thieves (Matthew 6:19, 20), but a big part of trying to serve heavenly goals is at least attempting to do useful things for other people in this natural world, even though things fall apart. Let’s talk on Sunday about how the Lord maintains us and how we can be part of maintaining what is good with the Lord’s help. | By Rev. Malcolm G. Smith , Bryn Athyn Cathedral

  • Safe from the Storm

Worship Service: Family (may include music) - 16 Mar, 2025

The Lord says that those who hear his Word and live by it are like those who build their house on a rock, where no storm can hurt them. Those who don’t are carried away into all sorts of trouble. Everyone experiences spiritual storms, times of temptation and uncertainty. Rely on the Lord’s Word, and not only will you survive hard times, but in the long run, you will thrive. | By Rev. Grant R. Schnarr , Bryn Athyn Cathedral

  • Demon-Possessed Man Healed

Worship Service: Sermon only - 16 Mar, 2025

The story in Mark 5, about the demon-possessed man healed by the Lord is also a spiritual story, about every person being spiritually healed, freed from obsessive thoughts and addiction to evil. This story is a bit scary, dark, and brings up questions – all reminiscent of hard times in each of our lives. But the Lord comes to us; he casts out unwanted thoughts and gives us peace. | By Rev. Grant R. Schnarr , Bryn Athyn Cathedral

  • The Word on Fire

Worship Service: Family (may include music) - 9 Mar, 2025

Moses sees a bush that is burning and discovers the Lord - who has big plans for him. When you learn to see the Lord in the Word, you can see He has wonderful plans for you too! | By Rt. Rev. David H. Lindrooth , Bryn Athyn Cathedral

  • The Word on Fire

Worship Service: Sermon only - 9 Mar, 2025

John names the Word with a fascinating Greek term “Logos.” That word, according to the ancient Greek, means the underlying force that orders and organizes all things. John also calls the “Logos” God. We can take that literally and come to know the force the Lord offers us through His Word that orders us and prepares us for heavenly life. | By Rt. Rev. David H. Lindrooth , Bryn Athyn Cathedral

  • Come and See

Worship Service: Childrens Talk & Adult Sermon - 26 Jan, 2025

We’re not very good predictors of the future and yet this doesn’t stop us from trying. Our predictions about the future tend to limit God’s capabilities which means we tend to anticipate “sameness” in our relationships and work, and in our sense of purpose and direction. We see this mindset in the brand-new disciple, Nathaniel, who, being invited by fellow disciple Philip to come see Jesus of Nazareth says, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” to which Philip replies, “Come and see” (John 1:46). Nathaniel did “come and see” and his life unfolded in a way he could never have predicted. | By Rev. Derek P. Elphick , Bryn Athyn Cathedral

  • Take Up Your Bed and Walk

Worship Service: Family (may include music) - 19 Jan, 2025

Here we are at the start of another year, and you might be in the habit of making a few New Year’s resolutions of things that you would like to do better in the year ahead. Often when we do that, we notice that many times our resolutions are the same as the year before and realize that we failed to carry through on them. So how can we avoid staying stuck in the same unhealthy spiritual place? The answer may be simpler than you think! | By Rt. Rev. Bradley D. Heinrichs , Bryn Athyn Cathedral

This pre-cursor to the Holy Supper pictures the peace that comes after conflict, and how the Lord “refreshes us” (AC 1726). | By Rev. Derek P. Elphick , Bryn Athyn Cathedral

  • Prince of Peace

    Worship Service: Children & Adult - 25 Dec, 2024

How do we turn to the Lord as the “Prince of Peace?” What kind of peace does He offer? How does the Lord ‘make’ or create peace in our lives? His peace is only produced by Him and it is only available to us today because of His birth subsequent Glorification! Christmas, therefore, is an opportunity to take steps to enjoy this special gift from heaven. | By Rt. Rev. David H. Lindrooth , Bryn Athyn Cathedral

  • In the Company of Angels

    Worship Service: Children & Adult - 24 Dec, 2024

The angels didn’t simply announce the birth of Christ; they gave specific directions, counsel and support to the participants of this holy event. This Christmas Eve service will be a wonderful reminder that we live in the company of angels and that we have the opportunity to let their glad tidings reign in us in new and different ways. | By Rev. Derek P. Elphick , Bryn Athyn Cathedral

  • Open Your Treasure

Worship Service: Family (may include music) - 22 Dec, 2024

The Lord encourages us to lay up treasures in heaven (Mt. 6:20) but it’s also a good practice to “open” our treasures so that they can be seen and shared with others. The wise men did this when presenting their gifts to the young Child. It says, “and when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him…” (Mt. 2:10). Why didn’t the wise men let Jesus’ parents open the gifts? Why did they open them first? | By Rev. Derek P. Elphick , Bryn Athyn Cathedral

In this sermon we will explore five specific things the Lord did to provide for our salvation. | By Rev. Michael D. Gladish , Bryn Athyn Cathedral

  • Recognizing the Lord

Worship Service: Family (may include music) - 1 Dec, 2024

“Recognizing the Lord” The people surrounding the Lord at His birth recognized Him as more than an ordinary Child. The wise men in particular had knowledge and understanding of who He is. For us, recognizing people we love can cause a spontaneous and warm response. What would it take for us to react the same way to the Lord? | By Rt. Rev. Peter Martin Buss, Jr. , Bryn Athyn Cathedral
