Our mission is to preserve New Church audio recordings and make them available to all. We provide audiobooks of works by Emanuel Swedenborg, recordings of New Church sermons, Swedenborgian classes, and more. These offer opportunities for Bible study and spiritual growth, exploring Biblical symbolism and New Church theology.

New Church Audio is a program of The New Church, an international Christian organization.

The New Church is a Christian denomination based on the Bible and the revelation given to Emanuel Swedenborg. We believe that true faith is loving the Lord Jesus Christ by following his teachings and being of service to others.

If you enjoyed listening, please consider making a donation to support this service.

  • The Pure in Heart Shall See God

Worship Service: Family (may include music) - 24 Aug, 2025

At the very beginning of Jesus’ most famous sermon – the Sermon on the Mount – He begins by calling out groups of people and offering them blessings. To one group He says, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God” (Matthew 5:8). This may seem strange, after all what does the quality of our heart have to do with our ability to see? In this message, though, there is a powerful message about how we receive and develop our faith. | By Steven Gunther , Bryn Athyn Cathedral

  • Loving our Country as Our Neighbor

Worship Service: Family (may include music) - 6 Jul, 2025

As we celebrate Independence Day this week, it's useful to reflect on what it means to love our country. The Heavenly Doctrines tell us that loving our neighbor includes loving our country, but what does that look like in practice? How can we love something as big and complex as a whole country? | By Steven Gunther , Bryn Athyn Cathedral

  • From the Least to the Greatest: Loving Our Country

Worship Service: Sermon only - 6 Jul, 2025

After we celebrate Independence Day this week, we’ll reflect on what it means to love our country as an expression of loving our neighbor. The Heavenly doctrines teach us about degrees of the neighbor that are like steps on a ladder leading to the Lord. This Sunday, we will consider how simple everyday charity can be a powerful form of patriotism and—more importantly—how it connects us to the Lord. | By Steven Gunther , Bryn Athyn Cathedral

  • Listening with Compassion

Worship Service: Informal Family - 7 Nov, 2021

When Hagar faces an incredibly difficult situation, she makes a rash decision. Rather than chastising her or punishing her, the Lord responds with compassion and helps her save her son. We can follow the Lord's example in this story and learn to listen with compassion, even when people may not be communicating in the healthiest way. | By Steven Gunther , Bryn Athyn Heilman Hall

  • Listen to Moses

Worship Service: Family (may include music) - 3 Oct, 2021

Candidate Steven Gunther. The parable of the rich man and Lazarus from Luke 16 can help us see the value in listening to the Lord and doing the work He calls us to do. If we push it off until some later time, we will only make it harder for us to do the right thing. | By Steven Gunther , Bryn Athyn Cathedral

  • Are You Convinced?

Worship Service: Sermon only - 3 Oct, 2021

Candidate Steven Gunther. What does it take for us to believe something is true? We will look at the parable of the rich man and Lazarus to see what it really means to be convinced by something, especially the things that Lord teaches us in the Word. | By Steven Gunther , Bryn Athyn Cathedral
