Our mission is to preserve New Church audio recordings and make them available to all. We provide audiobooks of works by Emanuel Swedenborg, recordings of New Church sermons, Swedenborgian classes, and more. These offer opportunities for Bible study and spiritual growth, exploring Biblical symbolism and New Church theology.

New Church Audio is a program of The New Church, an international Christian organization.

The New Church is a Christian denomination based on the Bible and the revelation given to Emanuel Swedenborg. We believe that true faith is loving the Lord Jesus Christ by following his teachings and being of service to others.

If you enjoyed listening, please consider making a donation to support this service.

Worship Service: Family (may include music) - 30 May, 2021

If we understand the nature of the Lord's love for us, we can recognize why He has revealed the ideas He has given to us. "The essence of love is loving others than oneself, wishing to be one with them and devoting oneself to their happiness." | By Rev. Eric H. Carswell , Bryn Athyn Cathedral

  • The Holy Spirit

Worship Service: Sermon only - 9 May, 2021

While the teachings of the New Church are clear that there is not a trinity of persons in God as traditional Christian doctrine teaches, those teachings do speak about Father, Son and Holy Spirit as the three essential components of God. In this trinity, what quality of God is the Holy Spirit and how does this quality of the Lord affect our lives? | By Rev. Eric H. Carswell , Bryn Athyn Cathedral

  • Understanding the Lord's Word

Worship Service: Family (may include music) - 18 Apr, 2021

There are many wonderful teachings in the Word that remind us of what the Lord wants us to think, do, and say. They remind us of how much He loves us and wants to lead each of us to a heavenly home. There are other statements that seem harsh and cruel. How does the Lord want us to understand them? | By Rev. Eric H. Carswell , Bryn Athyn Cathedral

  • Hard Statements: Breaking the Two Testaments of Stone

Worship Service: Sermon only - 18 Apr, 2021

Reading particularly in the Old Testament, but also in places in the New Testament, we can run across statements that not only do not reflect a loving God, but actually convey the opposite idea. If we are to hold onto the idea that the Lord is perfect love expressing itself in perfect wisdom, we need to know why the Word speaks so differently from what we might expect. | By Rev. Eric H. Carswell , Bryn Athyn Cathedral

  • Kindness When Something Doesn’t Seem Right

Worship Service: Family (may include music) - 28 Feb, 2021

Fourth in a series on kindness. Many of us grow up learning that some words and actions are good and some are not. When we see someone else being kind it can be easy to also be kind. But when we see someone doing something we think is wrong, we may have a less than kind response ourselves. | By Rev. Eric H. Carswell , Bryn Athyn Cathedral

  • Kindness and Disorder

The Lord wants us to recognize what true kindness means even when we face what seems to be disorder in others. | By Rev. Eric H. Carswell , Bryn Athyn Cathedral

No one hopes to make bad decisions. We all hope to accomplish good things which are our choices. It was not a good decision. | By Rev. Eric H. Carswell , Bryn Athyn Heilman Hall

  • Responding to Opportunities for Growth

Worship Service: Sermon only - 3 Jan, 2021

The beginning of a new year is a time that encourages people to think of the poast year and reflect on the new year beginning. Worship Service: Sermon only - 6 Dec, 2020

If the Lord had not been born into this world at the first Christmas, we would be missing a very important recognition of who He is. It is impossible to truly love or feel loved by a God who is just an ill-defined forced, no matter how powerful that force is thought to be. We are invited to worship the Lord as both Human and God. | By Rev. Eric H. Carswell , Bryn Athyn Cathedral
