Our mission is to preserve New Church audio recordings and make them available to all. We provide audiobooks of works by Emanuel Swedenborg, recordings of New Church sermons, Swedenborgian classes, and more. These offer opportunities for Bible study and spiritual growth, exploring Biblical symbolism and New Church theology.

New Church Audio is a program of The New Church, an international Christian organization.

The New Church is a Christian denomination based on the Bible and the revelation given to Emanuel Swedenborg. We believe that true faith is loving the Lord Jesus Christ by following his teachings and being of service to others.

If you enjoyed listening, please consider making a donation to support this service.

After the Lord rose from the tomb, He was present with His disciples -- and with all of us -- in a new and different way. Was He more present, or less present? Keal , Bryn Athyn Heilman Hall

  • The Lord is Risen Again

  • Defense in the Spiritual World

Worship Service: Informal Family - 21 Mar, 2021

Evil defends itself differently from good. Learning to recognize those differences can help us when we are dealing with conflict in our lives. • Accepting Kindness and Wise Kindness

Worship Service: Informal Family - 7 Mar, 2021

For the final week of our “Practicing Kindness” series, we will look at the familiar story of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37). In this story, we see all the many kinds of kindness we’ve talked about in this series, represented in the acts of the good Samaritan. And we will also explore what it means to accept kindness from others, as the wounded man did in this story. | By Rev. Solomon J. Keal , Bryn Athyn Heilman Hall

  • Challenging Kindness

Worship Service: Informal Family - 28 Feb, 2021

For week four of the “Practicing Kindness” series, we’ll talk about times when showing kindness can feel like a challenge. Ham pointed out Noah’s faults, but Shem and Japheth paid little attention to his faults and graciously helped their father. | By Rev. Kurt Hyland Asplundh , Bryn Athyn Heilman Hall

  • Supportive Kindness

Worship Service: Informal Family - 21 Feb, 2021

For week three of the “Practicing Kindness” series, we will look at the story of the four people who lowered their paralytic friend through the roof to be healed by Jesus (Mark 2:1-12). What does this story teach us about the supportive and healing power of kindness? | By Rev. Solomon J. Keal , Bryn Athyn Heilman Hall

  • Practicing Kindness: Abundant Love

Worship Service: Informal Family - 14 Feb, 2021

“Practicing Kindness: Abundant Love” is the subject for the second week in our series on kindness. Genuine kindness is given freely and abundantly, going beyond the minimum that is required of us. This originates in the Lord wanting to give infinitely His love and wisdom as much as we can accept. Our story is about Rebekah Drawing Water (Genesis 24). | By Rev. John L. Odhner , Bryn Athyn Heilman Hall

  • Rahab's Kindness

Worship Service: Family (may include music) - 7 Feb, 2021

  • The Ishmael and Isaac Rational Minds

Worship Service: Informal Family - 24 Jan, 2021

In Genesis 16, Hagar gave birth to Ishmael. Later, in Genesis 21, Sarah gave birth to Isaac. These children of Abraham represent two different modes of our rational minds. In what ways is our “Ishmael” rational mind both helpful and dangerous? And how can we move towards operating more in our “Isaac” rational mind? | By Rev. Solomon J. Keal , Bryn Athyn Heilman Hall

  • What Helps Good Decision-Making

Worship Service: Informal Family - 17 Jan, 2021

No one hopes to make bad decisions. We all hope to accomplish good things which are our choices. King Jeroboam was promised that his descendants would continue to reign if he followed the Lord but then his fears led him to establish an idol for the people to worship. It was not a good decision. | By Rev. Eric H. Carswell , Bryn Athyn Heilman Hall

  • Re-Creation

Worship Service: Informal Family - 10 Jan, 2021

Keal , Bryn Athyn Heilman Hall

  • Light in the Darkness

Worship Service: Informal Family - 20 Dec, 2020

We celebrate Christmas at the darkest time of year to symbolize the Lord bringing light into the world. “Light” is a theme throughout the Christmas stories, as well as the prophecies of the Lord's coming. How does the Lord bring “light" into our “darkness?” | By Rev. Solomon J. Keal , Bryn Athyn Heilman Hall

  • No Room in the Inn

Worship Service: Informal Family - 13 Dec, 2020

The Lord was born in a manger in Bethlehem because there was no room in the inn. What does “the inn” symbolize in our lives? Sometimes it might feel like our lives are too full, and it can feel like it's hard to fit the Lord in. What are the ways that we do or don’t make room for the Lord in our lives? And how is the Lord born into our lives anyway? | By Rev. Solomon J. Keal , Bryn Athyn Heilman Hall

  • The Promise of God-With-Us

Worship Service: Informal Family - 6 Dec, 2020

The angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and told him that Mary would give birth to a Son from the Holy Spirit. This would fulfill the prophecy of a virgin conceiving and bearing a Son named “Immanuel,” which means “God with us.” The Lord was born in this world to be “God with us.” But what does this mean for us here and now, when we cannot see His physical body with our eyes or touch Him with our hands? How can we know that He truly is with us? | By Rev. Coleman S. Glenn , Bryn Athyn Heilman Hall

  • The Lord heals a boy with a mute spirit

Worship Service: Informal Family - 22 Nov, 2020

The Lord heals a boy with a mute spirit. The Heavenly Doctrine teaches that each character in the Sacred Scripture tells us something about our own spiritual lives. So how then, are we like the disciples or even the Scribes in this story? How can we be like the boy who needs healing? In the story, the Lord gives us a very simple answer to the way we find healing through Him. | By Rev. Justin Schorran , Bryn Athyn Heilman Hall

  • The Lord's Breath

For the last week of the series on Resilience, we will look at the end of the Joseph story in which Joseph’s brothers and father settle in Egypt. Jacob meets Joseph’s sons and after Jacob dies, Joseph reassures his brothers that he will provide for them. One of the things that makes us most resilient is our connections with other people. | By Rev. Solomon J. Keal , Bryn Athyn Heilman Hall

  • Finding Compassion
