The wise men brought the Lord symbolic gifts: gold, frankincense and myrrh (Matthew 2). We too bring gold when we love the Lord, frankincense when we love one another, and myrrh when we wish to be of service. Yet when we reflect more deeply we see that these are actually gifts the Lord gives to us (Secrets of Heaven 9938.2).
