The Last Judgment took place in the year 1757 and Swedenborg was called to witness and testify of that occurance. Without that witness we would not know that the Last Judgment took place. How we face the problems of the world will depend on what the future holds in store. Knowing that we are not waiting for the Last Judgment puts us in the position of needing to clean up our act and take seriously that the Kingdom of the Lord comes only from within.
