The Lord Jesus Christ needed an natural father and Joseph accepted that role. Joseph both adopted, provided, protected, and sacrificed for Jesus. The story of our Lord Jesus Christ does not spend much time on Joseph as natural father, but more on Jesus as Son of God. Jest like Joseph our fatherhood depends on our heavenly father.
