The Lord commands us to honor our father and mother. The reason for this is the family is the basis of community—economic, political, and religious. From a religious perspective the care of children has been delegated specifically to the family, not to the church. The application of this begins with honoring our parents. Task: Write a tribute to your parents and either frame it and give it to them or give it to other family members.
