When bread and water are read of in the Word, angels in heaven understand the things by which they are nourished, which are the goods of love and the truths of faith from the Lord. Stopping in Samaria symbolizes turning to the Word for instruction. Starting out in Judea symbolizes wanting to do what is right. Ending up in Galilee symbolizes doing what is right. But on the way, we must learn how.
