The Heavenly Doctrines and psychology in general tell us to learn from the past, to plan for the future, and to live in the present. With this in mind we can learn from the previous special churches (Most Ancient Church, Ancient Church, Israelitish Church, and Christian Church) and look to the future that the Lord has for the New Church, as all of this is revealed in the Heavenly Doctrines. What can the Church do now that will help implement the Lord's plans for His Kingdom on earth?
