God's Goals For Your Happiness
Worship Service: Childrens Talk & Adult Sermon - 3 Feb, 2019
God definitely wants us to be happy, but it doesn't always feel like it. More often than not there seems to be a tension between what we want to do and what God asks us to do. The Lord understands that we go through this and so He draws our attention to the happiness that lies within keeping His commandments: "Happy are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven," as just one example. Nor is this promised happiness only in the distant future. If we know what to look for, we can see in the moment how denying ourselves and following the Lord aligns perfectly with our own happiness. | By Rev. Joel C Glenn , Westville, RSA

Tabernacle Community
Worship Service: Informal Family - 23 Sep, 2018
When building the Tabernacle, Moses called for all the people to contribute whatever materials they could offer (Exodus 35). The Tabernacle took form because of these freewill offerings. How does the construction of the Tabernacle represent the way community works in our lives? The song from the service "A Dwelling Place for You" is included as Track # 2 with permission of the composer, John Odhner, and the singers. | By Rev. Solomon J. Keal , Bryn Athyn Heilman Hall

Filling with Oil
Worship Service: Informal Family - 12 Aug, 2018
A widow asked Elisha for help. She was afraid she would lose her sons because of debts she had. Elisha told her to gather many pots and jars. Then she was to pour oil into them from the small jar she had. When we are feeling empty and concerned for future happiness sometimes the best thing to do is recognize some area of life into which you can put caring and attention. | By Rev. Eric H. Carswell , Bryn Athyn Heilman Hall

Content With Your Lot
Worship Service: Informal Family - 3 Jun, 2018
So often we are tempted to long for more than we have. Yet anxiety and sadness often result when we compare ourselves to others and consider ourselves lacking. Peter Martin Buss, Jr. , Bryn Athyn Heilman Hall

Talk - 6 May, 2018
Here in Part 3 of our series reflecting on the Lord's Prayer, we think about how asking for our daily bread is much more than asking for the things that sustain our bodies. It is asking for the things that sustain our soul, both today and for eternity. | By Rev. Garry B Walsh , Phoenix, AZ

Healing Torment - Jesus' Healing Miracles: Part 5 of 6
Talk - 8 Apr, 2018
In this part of the series on 'Jesus' Healing Miracles', we consider the healing of the centurion's servant. We notice that it was the centurion's faith, not the sick man's that opened the door for his healing. The story is a sign of the Lord healing the natural from the spiritual, and of how we can help make the spiritual realm a place of ever more healing. | By Rev. Garry B Walsh , Phoenix, AZ
Healing Physical Challenges - Jesus' Healing Miracles: Part 4 of 6
Talk - 18 Mar, 2018
Jesus' healing of the paralyzed man (Luke 5:17-26) is one example of how a person's faith opened the door for them to receive healing. Do we have faith, not so much in whether the Lord can heal us physically, but whether He can heal our spirit of the types of things that interfere with our ability to experience heaven? | By Rev. Garry B Walsh , Phoenix, AZ
Healing Leprosy - Jesus' Healing Miracles Series: Part 3 of 6
Talk - 11 Mar, 2018
We are taught that Jesus' healing of people suffering from leprosy, is symbolic of his healing every person who comes to Him, acknowledging that they are falling short of living up to His standards as they understand them. New Church teachings say that leprosy symbolizes profanation. We profane whenever we mingle something holy with something unholy. | By Rev. Garry B Walsh , Phoenix, AZ

From Seedtime To Harvest - What Is Stunting My Spiritual Growth?

Jonah, Part 4 - Right to be Angry?
Worship Service: Informal Family - 27 Aug, 2017

Looking for the Good in People
Worship Service: Informal Family - 20 Aug, 2017
We as a human race are often stuck in the evil of hatred and violence. In Genesis chapter 18, Abraham pleads with the Lord, and asks Him if He would still destroy Sodom even if there were just a few good people there. The Lord says He would spare the city if there were just a few good people there. This story describes how desperately the Lord wants the whole human race to be rescued from “Sodom” (representing the evil of hatred and violence) and to get to heaven. The Lord sets an example for how we too can look for even the smallest amount of goodness in other people. | By Rev. Solomon J. Keal , Bryn Athyn Heilman Hall
