Our mission is to preserve New Church audio recordings and make them available to all. We provide audiobooks of works by Emanuel Swedenborg, recordings of New Church sermons, Swedenborgian classes, and more. These offer opportunities for Bible study and spiritual growth, exploring Biblical symbolism and New Church theology.

New Church Audio is a program of The New Church, an international Christian organization.

The New Church is a Christian denomination based on the Bible and the revelation given to Emanuel Swedenborg. We believe that true faith is loving the Lord Jesus Christ by following his teachings and being of service to others.

It’s Mothers Day this Sunday and so we’re going to be reflecting on a topic that comes into all parent-child relationships—approval. We all want to be approved of. But do your parents approve of you? Do you approve of your parents? The giving or withholding of approval is a strong force in relationships; let’s talk about how the Lord would like us to navigate the interpersonal dynamics around approval. | By Rev. Malcolm G. Smith , Westville, RSA

Worship Service: Sermon only - 14 May, 2017

The mother of the disciples James and John approached the Lord and asked if it were possible for them to sit at His right hand and His left in His kingdom. Her understanding of the nature of the Lord's kingdom might have been faulty at the time, but, that doesn't mean that she wasn't being led by two powerful united forces from the Lord, the love of marriage, or conjugial love, and the love of children, or storge. | By Rev. • Why We Have Sacraments 1- Baptism

Worship Service: Childrens Talk & Adult Sermon - 18 Sep, 2016

This Sunday we have the privilege of witnessing an infant baptism. And so, in the sermon, we’re going to be talking about baptism and Holy Supper. Here’s a passage to get you thinking about the topic. Have you ever had thoughts along these lines? If the spiritual meaning of the Word had not been disclosed,… [people] might mutter and say to themselves, “What is baptism but pouring water on a baby’s head? What does that do for the baby’s salvation? What is the Holy Supper but taking bread and wine? What does that do for our salvation? For that matter, what is holy about these rituals, other than the fact that the ecclesiastical hierarchy has traditionally accepted them as sacred and divine and has commanded us to observe them? Although the churches claim that when the Word of God is brought near the elements they become sacred, these rituals are essentially just ceremonial.” … Yet from the point of view of their spiritual meaning, these two sacraments are the holiest acts of worship. (True Christianity §667) When we understand the significance of baptism and Holy Supper they can become a very meaningful part of our spiritual lives, rather than just arbitrary seeming rituals. | By Rev. Malcolm G. Smith , Westville, RSA

The Lord wants us to recognize the spiritual consequences of our choices. Copyrighted music not included. | By Rev. Eric H. Carswell , Bryn Athyn Cathedral

  • Do Not Resist Evil 2: Guilt Good and Bad

Worship Service: Childrens Talk & Adult Sermon - 16 Nov, 2014

When we are attacked by feelings of doubt, guilt, fear, or worthlessness, we often try (and fail) to simply push those feelings away. But there is another way: instead of resisting these things, we can take what is valuable from them, and let the rest pass us by. This week, the second in a four-part series, we will focus specifically on how to do this with guilt.
