The New Church is a Christian denomination based on the Bible and the revelation given to Emanuel Swedenborg. We believe that true faith is loving the Lord Jesus Christ by following his teachings and being of service to others.
Description: King Solomon asked for an “understanding heart” so that he might judge his people wisely. The parallel of this story is that we too must pray for a heart that understands because our heart (love), which is the driving force in everything we do, is often at odds with our understanding (logic) and the two can end up living separate lives.
