The New Church is a Christian denomination based on the Bible and the revelation given to Emanuel Swedenborg. We believe that true faith is loving the Lord Jesus Christ by following his teachings and being of service to others.
Description: In the Christmas story, we find Simeon prophesying that the Lord will be "the glory of my people Israel." Does this simply mean that Israel will be proud of the Lord or that He will make them great? What does "glory" really mean? The Lord came into the world to "glorify" His human. Is this "glorification" somehow related to "glory"?
