The New Church is a Christian denomination based on the Bible and the revelation given to Emanuel Swedenborg. We believe that true faith is loving the Lord Jesus Christ by following his teachings and being of service to others.
Description: Daniel sought to maintain his Jewish identity within a foreign culture, but also to succeed within that culture. Daniel stove to not defile himself according to Jewish law, and chose to pursue this by regulating his consumption. Paying attention to what we take in and where it comes from is the starting place for choosing an identity in the Lord.
